Overview:

Convenience foods and restaurant take-out foods are easy options for meals. However, healthier and less-expensive meals can be made at home. To figure out what kitchen helpers will make cooking less of a hassle, think of personal needs first. If cutting, chopping, and grating vegetables are needs, consider getting a multi-use food processor.

Accessories that make cooking easier, include: rocker-style "ulu" knives that increase leverage, specialized cutting boards to hold items in place, vises for holding jars, large handled tools, large-numbered measuring cups, talking timers, containers that buzz when liquid reaches the desired level, and two-handled pans. #890
